Hello!
We had a successful week and got everyone baptized and confirmed members of the church that we possibly could under the circumstances. We did not reach our goal, but our goal was a little insane, I will not tell you how close we were but it was just really high. I love setting high goals, even if I do not quite make it, because it makes me stretch, and run as fast as I am able.
We had a pretty successful sacrament meeting this week and are trying to follow the guidance of the spirit the best that we can to set our focus where it should be. So we can do the most good in the limited amount of time that we have.
Some of my goals do not necessarily really matter a ton, but I set them as something that would be fun to achieve. Some examples are to convert a pastor, a rich man, a white man, and to baptize people with the same names as my friends and to baptize Brother Belmonte, but that's a different story. Anyways, last Saturday we had a baptism where a took a chunk out of one of my goals, take a second and see if you can guess which one..................... Okie dokie, I think this is pretty awesome, but on Saturday a man named Jolly was baptized, and yes that is his first name, I was/am pretty excited. I have a lot still to complete my circle of friends, but that's a start, I have a feeling Terje is next, or at least TJ. That might be easier.
On Sunday we will get our transfer announcements, we both requested to stay, I keep getting told I will train a new missionary, or I am buntis (pregnant... in missionary terms) I just hope my companion is not big and white, because the people here are afraid of me.. I am not sure they could handle two of me.
Also, I almost have my dumbbells made, it is hard to find cans here, but once they are done they will weigh about 45 lbs, and I have gotten week, I am not sure how well I will be able to use those things. Hopefully I stay here so I can use them more than 3 days.
Also again, I got an email from my beloved companion Elder Vail, and my good friend Nilo Prado was just baptized, he was supposed to get baptized before I left, but he needed to find a job because he was running out of money. So we prayed for him to find one, and he found it alright, and was scheduled for the day and hour of his baptism to work, kind of a bittersweet answer to a prayer, maybe he needed a little more preparation to become a stronger member first, either way I am super excited :)
(Another) Also again, I will hopefully be able to send some pictures! Another missionary is using my card-reader, which I think means it is working now.
We had to wait a while to get computers so we have an appointment soon, so I gotta make like a... Well, I am going to just go to my appointment :) Love you, thanks for those who are emailing and writing, it means a whole lot to me :)
Love,
Elder Munk
